Missions Committee

Vision | To heighten awareness of Jesus Christ's heart for His lost world and for world-wide evangelical needs and concerns.

To train and equip our congregation to be future missionaries and missions senders.
To support current missionaries and missions organizations through prayer, financial giving and encouragement.

Responsibilities | Each Missions Committee Member serves as a liaison for an Emmanuel-supported missionary in the field. For these missionaries, we:

Pray for them and communicate regularly with them
Guide them through the financial support process
Support them in other ways, such as sending out care packages, etc.

As a group, the Missions Committee determines the allocation of missions funds and works to keep the congregation abreast of opportunities to either support or participate in mission endeavors

We Need Members!

If you have a heart for Missions, we want you to join! E-mail us at missions@emmanuelnyc.org  for more information.

Emmanuel Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America. We believe in the historic Christian faith as summarized is the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds. We call ourselves "Emmanuel" (god with us) because we believe that Jesus' substitutionary death and poured out Spirit have brought God near. God's nearness brings life to all that we do – to our worship, our friendships, our families, our thought life, our studies, and our work. We embrace Emmanuel's love for the city and seek to share his beauty, truth, healing and goodness with the communities where we live and work, particularly the communities of Morningside Heights.
