Twice a year our church gathers for an extended time of prayer together. We spend an hour singing and praying in various ways (with an organized order of worship). We spend an hour reading scripture and meditating on it. We spend an hour interceding for the needs of our city, our world, and our church. It is important for our church to gather to seek God together in prayer, and the discipline of setting aside a morning to focus on God usually proves good for the soul.
