We are excited to announce that Emmanuel will be sending volunteers to prepare and serve meals at the Bowery Women's Center in person again!
The Bowery Women's Center is a residential program in Harlem, where women in crisis can live in community, receive counseling, job training, and spiritual instruction. Once a month EPC will be sending a team to plan, prepare, and serve a meal for the women. It gives the staff a night off, it's a way to connect with individuals in our neighborhood. As well, it's a fun time to spend with others who are volunteering from EPC.
On the first Saturday of each month, we are looking for one person to plan the meal (for 15-20 people), and a few others to join in preparing the food in the Bowery's beautiful kitchen. You'll arrive around 3:30 to begin preparing, and dinner is served at 6pm. EPC reimburses the costs of the meal. Consider if you (and your HFG / friends / family) would come serve one month!
