Relating: A Monthly Class

In this month's class we will consider the desire within each of us to control how people perceive us and how that hinders growth in relationships.  The gospel promises an experience of freedom from being concerned about the judgment of others, but most of us have a lot of progress to make in this area.  Let's process this for our own sanity as well as better interactions and deeper relationships.

This month we will serve lunch.  If you know you’ll be attending, please RSVP for lunch by Mon, Jan 5, to help us plan.  Registering guarantees there will be food for you.  All are welcome, whether you register or not.

Once a month, after church, Scott will lead a class called “Relating”.  Rapid changes in society (technology, values, post-Covid effects, etc.) are leaving many feeling lonely and disconnected.  It can seem we are losing the basic skills to be able to relate in healthy and meaningful ways.

These classes, which will include teaching and discussion, are a time to process some of these themes together (how to have a hard conversation, how Christian virtues like kindness or patience can help us, etc.).  All are welcome.
