Hospitality

Hospitality is a core value of the Bible, but being hospitable in New York City has unique challenges. 1 Peter 4:9 says "show hospitality to one another without grumbling." Apparently, it has never been easy. Yet it is good, so let's consider how we might grow in this area.

Once a month, after church, Scott will lead a class called “Relating”. Rapid changes in society (technology, values, post-Covid effects, etc.) are leaving many feeling lonely and disconnected. It can seem we are losing the basic skills to be able to relate in healthy and meaningful ways.

These classes, which will include teaching and discussion, are a time to process some of these themes together (how to have a hard conversation, how Christian virtues like kindness or patience can help us, etc.). All are welcome.
